Non-Binary Basics – Miniwebinar – March 15, 1-1:30 ET / 10-10:30PT

In rising conversations of inclusion, many people are doing important work to ensure trans representation and empowerment. That said, conversations about non-binary individuals are far less common and the resulting ignorance contributes to a hostile world for our non-binary peers. Knowledge is critical in creating a world that is affirming. This 30 minute mini-webinar helps those who are new to non-binary identities understand the basics to help get you started. Maybe provides a brief overview of terminology, cultural context, and best practices to ensure non-binary people are being respected and valued.

As a result of this webinar, participants will be able to:

• Accurately explain the difference between the terms non-binary, gender non-conforming, and genderfluid.
• Name three common challenges non-binary people face in the world
• Describe two action steps that can be taken to better support and affirm non-binary people
