Dr. Jaymie Campbell

Since 2007, Dr. Jaymie Campbell has been working in health promotion, social services, HIV research, and sexuality education. Jaymie began his non-profit career working with marginalized populations in the Tenderloin District of San Francisco. Jaymie is most passionate about the framework of racial microaggressions and its intersections with gender identity and sexual orientation. He specializes in trainings for medical providers, behavioral health providers, educators, and community based organizations on strategies for improving services for populations facing intersecting oppressions. 

After obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Feminist Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz, Jaymie received a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology, with an emphasis in Community Mental Health, from the California Institute of Integral Studies. He focused his clinical internship on working with homeless queer and transgender youth of color. Jaymie now holds a PhD in Sexuality Studies from Widener University, where his dissertation research focused on race and transgender microaggressions experienced by transgender people of color.
